Formnext 2021: a success in innovation

After the past two years of virtual events, it was fantastic for the Lithoz team to once again get involved in the excitement of Formnext and the whole universe of 3D printing. Having launched two new machines since the last event in 2019, our technological innovations and the new spacious booth were greatly received by visitors and partners!

A particular highlight that caught the attention of experts from many industries was the multi-material 3D-printed parts we brought along, manufactured using our CeraFab Multi 2M30 3D printer. By combining materials and their properties, these parts open the door to entirely new applications in all sorts of industries, once again proving why Lithoz takes a unique leading role in moving innovation in the world of ceramic 3D printing forwards.

Another magnet for well-informed visitors was the European premiere of the CeraFab Lab L30 via a live printing demonstration. As an entry-level 3D printer, we are excited to be paving the way for more innovators and manufacturers to get involved in ceramic 3D printing, making this powerful technology more accessible than ever. The impressive feedback we received at Formnext confirmed that, with this kind of accessibility, Lithoz can achieve its goal of growing ceramic additive manufacturing into an established and complimentary production technique. The numerous visitors gathering around the printer were intrigued to learn about the different advantages of additive manufacturing and, after experiencing the live demonstration of our CeraFab Lab, were left convinced of the truly game-changing potential and precision of this technology.

With the recent success of our breakthrough into the medical sector, the Formnext team also experienced overwhelming interest in the displayed 3D-printed medical applications which were certainly a highlight of our stand. In particular, the natural look and absolute precision of the zirconia veneers and lithium disilicate crowns printed using LCM technology gave an eye-opening look into the power of additive manufacturing for the many expert visitors queuing to interview our Lithoz medical experts.

Last but not least, the establishment of serial production using Lithoz’s LCM technology, with our customer partners such as Bosch, Steinbach AG and Fraunhofer IKTS showcasing their latest components produced via Lithoz printers, was also a key aspect of this year’s Formnext, highlighting how our company is keeping pace and even leading the way for technological innovation and development in ceramic 3D printing.

We hope everyone found the event to be as inspiring and insightful as our team did! It was great to see you all in-person again. Want to learn more about the innovations on-show at Formnext? Get in contact to change the game today!
